DOUGHBOY'S POKER ROOM

Chris Dillon, owner of Doughboy's Poker Room has played poker for many years. He also travels to Vegas, Atlantic City and all over to play in various cash games and tournaments. Several years ago he approached the city with the question ... "how to have a place to play poker and make it legal in the city's and states eyes'

With the help of friends in the county prosecutors office he worked directly with the State's Attorneys General office for several months to iron out details. The states position is simple.....

"any house/building used to profit off a game of chance (which poker is called by the states definition) is illegal"

So,  the question that the state of Ohio kept asking Mr. Dillon was

"why would I put several thousand dollars into a business/club that was unable to make any money?"

My answer to them was simple.....

" I play poker all over and have to travel every weekend to play"

To get good at anything you have to practice and that is the same with poker. By me opening up a Upscale poker room it allows me to practice every week without having to leave the city. It also gives other poker players a safe place to play as well.

Mr. Dillon is also a member of the 'Tournament Directors Association' and the 'Poker Players Alliance' as well. What this means is that Mr. Dillon is up to date on all the Rules of tournament and cash play that is played in all the major casinos all over the world. So, the "average" poker player can come to Doughboys and after a while know all the rules and etiquette of how to play in the major casino's. That player who used to be intimidated to walk into a live casinos to play poker now knows all the rules and is able to sit down and enjoy the live action at the many casinos around.

Mr. Dillon has also spent several thousand dollars in security camera's both inside the building and outside the building. This keeps Doughboy's Poker Room safe from the cheats or others that you might find in a 'back room' poker club. Everything is recorded 24/7 for the safety of the players.

Doughboys Poker Room TAKES NO RAKE from the pots as profit. All tournament money is returned to the players. The "house" doesn't even make profit from selling a can of pop !  NO PROFIT IS MADE IN ANY WAY FOR THE HOUSE and that is what makes Doughboy's Poker Room legal by the states attorneys office as agreed upon for over a year now.

There is a "bad beat jackpot" and other 'bonus' events that Doughboy's Poker Room offers. However this is also returned to the players 100%
